CALGARY: CHARCUT alley burgers

UPDATE-July 6, 2011: CHARCUT is launching a lunch food truck to peddle the famous alley burgers. To find out where the truck will be parked around Calgary, follow updates on Twitter and Facebook. The menu will also include hand-cut duck fat-fried potatoes and poutine with Quebec cheese curds.

Calgary tidbits & pineapple upside-down cake

A soon-to-be opening place called loungeburger has been drumming up buzz on Twitter. It just tweeted about a party tomorrow (Saturday, Aug. 29) between noon and 4 p.m. in the lobby of Stampede Station at 13th Avenue and Macleod Trail S.W.

I would hope they’re serving burgers!

Eat real, eat local

Disclosure: I was invited to a food bloggers’ event and focus group-type sessions in Toronto last week by a marketing company representing Hellmann’s.
