Located on the ill-fated corner of Memorial Drive and 10th Street S.W., Robbie Stewarts and its Scottish pub grub closed this month after less than a year of operation.

Deep-fried things taste good. Even better when the deep-frying is done by professionals. The owner of Brits Fish and Chips calls himself a “fish fryer from the U.K.” After years of running fish and chip shops in Scotland and England, he and his Canadian wife settled in Edmonton. Lucky for me.
