I’ve written about how much I love Jane’s on the Common before, but this time, we got to go back for brunch. I can keep this one short and sweet. Jane’s serves amazing, unfussy food, with great service and astonishingly decent prices. Jason’s eggs benedict with bacon ($10) came with homemade hollandaise sauce, but the real [...] It’s been a whirlwind two weeks. First, a divine birthday dinner at Capo and a few days ago, a sweet surprise proposal from my Jason. Our first breakfast together as a newly engaged couple called for something unique, something special to us. So we went to Denny’s. When we first started dating, we discovered a common appreciation [...] Look at this! A plate built for devilled eggs. Brilliant. Man, sometimes I wish I lived in the ’60s, slaving over the stove in an apron and perfectly coiffed hair, whipping up devilled eggs and wowing my dinner guests. Oh wait, I can do still do that now. (This is Jason’s mom’s devilled eggs and her mom’s plate.) |
