Sometimes you just need a burger for breakfast. That’s where the Holy Grill’s brunch burger ($8.50) comes in handy.
It’s really breakfast, just with a beef patty thrown into the mix (cheddar, fried egg, bacon, tomato, mustard and onions) on an English muffin, with a huge side of fries. And it’s really, really good.
Kind of unnoticed across the street from Mountain Equipment Co-op, the Holy Grill is a favourite of people who live and work in the area. It’s run by three brothers who are totally cute. I mean, how can you resist this.
They also serve up killer sweet potato fries and paninis, always with good cheer. Definitely worth a visit for breakfast or lunch if you’re in the area.
Holy Grill, 827-10th Ave. SW, Calgary, (403) 261-9759. Open Monday to Saturday 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Closed Sundays.

Holy Grill is AWESOME!
I highly recommend the Californian with a side of yam chips. Been a weekend tradition for quite a while now.
I love that place. Now I will be having a Gourmet (minus onions) for lunch tomorrow.
