I just love the stores you mentioned above and frequent them quite a lot!.. a few more you might want to add to your list however: University Cafe and Convenience, 292 University Ave ~ formerly Lee's C-Mart, it now has tonnes of Korean/Japanese grocery items and snacks. And if you're in the mood for Indian, check out the Mail N Mart, 1111 Regent St (in the strip mall with Blockbuster) or the Vanier Dollar & Convenience, 1666 Lincoln Rd ~ East Indian & Middle Eastern foods (Halal).

Ooh and another thing… Went to Bulgogi for lunch after our crazy grocery shopping. It was decent. Had spicy bulgogi, wasn’t spicy at all but had siracha at home and it was still good. Wasn’t craving for sushi but damn was it expensive… well, compared to Toronto prices )= Still good though and both places the people were really nice. Love!

So I wrote to you in November and now I’m fully moved in and I JUSSSSSST went to Saigon Asian today and fell in LOVE! They had tons of filipino food and I brought my gf from Saint John and she LOVED it too! Once again thank you thank you and my gf thanks you even more. (=

Yes .. Thank you so much for posting the asian stores, I was having such a hard time adjusting to just sobeys and superstore. I’ve made trips back and forth to visit family in Toronto just to shop for food and bring it back to Fredericton … now I dont have to haul food back lol. As for the new sushi place food was adequate but will not return usually restaurants that are of a different culture always makes the food tastier than you .. but in this case no… I make my sushi and Bulgogi so much better and the portions like tereyaki salmon is a filet not bits. They still need to fix a few things like the quality of food being served.

you have no idea how happy i am finding this blog. my boyfriend lives in oromocto and i’m from toronto. being filipino i love cooking asian food but can’t seem to find the right ingredients due to their lack of selections at sobeys or supermarket. hopefully saigon has what i’m looking for when i return next month. thanks sooo much for this informantion! i’m also looking forward to finally having sushi in nb. siiigh, so hard finding asian food in the east, whethere good or bad.

I just ate there and while it wasn’t that bad, I probably won’t return there. I’m quite certain that the vegetables that I had were of the frozen variety. The spicy pork was so-so and the chicken was basically breaded chicken with sauce. It really didn’t look as good as the photos that you posted a year ago. Nothing special.

Thank You! I’m a Korean dude from Vancouver, living in Gagetown just 15 minutes away. I came here for army work and I stayed 2 weeks now. For some reason, I wanted to have kimchi bowl noodle, which got me thinking Korean food few days ago.
