Drive too fast and you’ll miss Cedar Lunch. It looks like a small corner store but this family-run lunch counter serves huge scrumptious chicken pitas wrapped with fluorescent pink pickled turnips that I love.
I think they’re basically shawarma but the meat doesn’t come off a rotating spit.
There’s also falafel, tabbouleh, kibbeh.
It’s a popular place for those in the know, so the wait can be a little long around noon but it’s worth it.
