As a very frequent flyer, I have to agree with the comments made by NgaWing. In my countless number of flights every year, it is extremely rare to have a negative experience on Air Canada. With very few exceptions, I find their service consistently good and employees friendly. I do, on occasion, see travellers who have complaints about Air Canada, however, they are the same people who board the aircraft in search of something to complain about.

I'm tired of all the bitching and complaining about air travel. I am not an Air Canada employee, just someone who knows more than a pinhead's worth of information about how an airline operates.

I have read all over this blog about inconsistent service throughout the food service industry, that also happens on the one of the world's largest airlines.(top 15)

Why does no one remember that they got to their destination safely and usually on time. (Statistically, flights arrive within 20 minutes of their posted arrival time 70-90% of the time.)

Regarding safety, if people flew airlines in Southern China,Costa Rica,Middle East,&most European airlines(eg.RyanAir)more than once in a blue moon and were not in some 'fantastical holiday bubble', you would appreciate how safety is more important than if the flight attendant fawned over you.

Most of the the over 22900 people who work for Air Canada are regular folk who are trying their best, STOP berating their efforts and support your fellow Canadians. Every time a person says nasty things about our national carrier, you are slapping a fellow Canadian who works for Air Canada in the face!

Why don't you ask the passenger who forgot her expensive and non refundable Broadway show tickets at home and how the agent took them from the terminal and delivered the tickets to her at the gate. I witnessed the entire thing. That never made the news.

By the way, according to Skytrax(airline industry rater) http://www.worldairlineawards.com/Awards-2010/namerica.htm., Air Canada is North America's best airline for 2010. Doesn't that make you proud to be Canadian?

Take a look, ALL north american carriers can not compare themselves to an Asian, European, or Middle East airline. They lack class, and attention to details.

However, to be fair, I have traveled with lots of US carriers, and Air Canada is NOT one of the worst i traveled!

When you compare Air Canada is one of the better N.A. carriers by far!

Our last flight with Westjet was not bad, but generally air travel in Canada sucks massively.

And we wonder why Air Canada keeps on having problems staying in business.

The old Canadian Airlines wasn't any better either.

Airlines from other countries rock in comparison to Air Canada. I flew Southern China, and it was a real treat!

Yo go girl.
I also hate Air Canada. They are by far the worst airline I've ever flown on -- even better than the dodgy Costa Rican carrier we used to take us to the rainforest last year.
